About

- Since 1974 -

01

The Origin

I've drawn since I was little. It started on napkins, loose sheets of paper, the margins of notebooks — anything within reach.

02

The Accumulation

Over time, the characters that kept appearing on those pages began to take on names, company, stories. Little by little, they stopped being scattered drawings and became the Guitta Monatega legacy.

03

The Three Fronts

Today my work unfolds along three fronts — each with its own time, its own craft, its own universe.

04

The Craft

My work moves between writing and traditional and digital techniques — ink, graphite, stippling, crochet, needle felting, sculpting, digital illustration. Word and image walk together. Each piece is built with time, repetition, and care, preserving the essence of what is made by hand.

05

Bichittos

The affectionate universe. NapCat, Zeco, Taylo, Cheio de Bolinha and their friends. Characters that live between the imperfect and the tender, born in sketchbooks and now present in original books, animations, and miniature sculptures.

06

Kammara

Where the history of computing becomes myth. The seed appeared around 2012 — planets, languages, and creatures began to surface. In 2019, I visited museums of computing history to study up close the machines that gave rise to everything. Since then, I've been developing this universe in layers: cosmology, characters, original languages. Now I'm gathering the work into books.

Where art and computing meet in balance.
